SlackE17

SlackE17 r70354

29 April 2012

Here is a new version of SlackE17, the e17 distribution for Slackware.

Visible changes include addition of connman, expedite, exquisite (with a slackware theme) and eperiodique.

Packages are ready for Slackware or Slackware64 13.37. You can download a *.tar that contains all the individual packages (preferred way) or just get the bloated with everything big mamma package.

If you only want stable code, you can get, one-by-one, the EFL 1.2.0 packages (with a snapshot of the WM).

Themes for e17

9 March 2012

Thanks to the Bodhi Linux project, I could gather a bunch of themes for e17 and made a Slackware package to use with SlackE17. Download it on SourceForge. Beware, it’s big (260 MB). Preview are on the Bodhi Linux website.

  • a systray module, at last
  • and all the up-to-date E17 code from CVS

Please prefer the tar.bz2 which is more flexible and has a lot of docs.

Happy slacking!

E17 for Slackware 12.0

24 July 2007

Here comes the time of a new release of SlackE17. Big work for this release and patches send back upstream to get most of the EFL applications compile and run on Slackware 12.0. Epdf had to be removed because of compatibility issue with the Slackware Poppler package. Entrance seems unstable this time and you should be careful using it.

New applications made it to the release: efreet (for freedesktop menu), e_dbus, expedite (tests), evolve (etk->edje lib), elitaire (cards game, coming back), engycad (CAD), edje_editor, etc.

SlackE17 october is out

7 October 2006

The new release of SlackE17, a distribution of E17 for Linux Slackware is available. These new binaries are for Slackware 11.0 (x86).

This is the 8th release of SlackE17, already 1 year of packaging :-)

See the list of packages

There is one single Slackware, or a tar bziped of all packages. I recommand the second one which is more flexible. Download page.

SlackE17 news

12 September 2006

As most people saw, Slackware 11.0 is quite late, and so is SlackE17.

SlackE17 is still being developped, continously, but will not be release before Slackware 11.0.

Huge changes occured in E17 (you can prepare yourself to rip off your ~/.e) but it becomes stable enough to be released.

E17 e_modules status

27 May 2006

The E modules from Enlightenment DR17 (the kind of epplets we got for E16) are being converted to the new gadcon/shelf code. That means the code is stabilizing and we’re going to have the new module structure working. So far, around 50% of the work has been done. Modules that can not use the new shelf yet (and which will most probably be converted) include cpu, evolume, mbar, mount, uptime and wlan.
